@Yuvalne@433.world @signalapp@mastodon.world @keyoxide@fosstodon.org No, part of the process needs to be done by Signal. Check this discussion: https://codeberg.org/keyoxide/doipjs/issues/165 As you can see, Keyoxide folks are already discussing this, that's why I'm bringing it to Signal folks. There was a time when a guy was impersonating me trying to cause trouble (probably trying to get me banned from some anime websites) For the moment one can check if I am really I by checking I am in control of all accounts I add on Keyoxide, and on some of those accounts I add my Signal username or link, which works, but I don't think it's the best option (it adds friction).

@qgustavor@urusai.social @signalapp@mastodon.world well it depends on what you want to achieve. if your goal is o turn the temporary-by-design usernames into a semi-permanent identifier, or if you want for there to be an option to bypass the requirement for a message request before you see profile info, then yeah, it'd require changes on Signal's end, but would also be a bad idea for reasons i hope are obvious. otherwise @keyoxide@fosstodon.org could take a similar-ish approach to the Discord verification by utilising a public group.
