  yeah, there isn't a complete alternative to Discord. but also, quite a lot of usecases don't actually need discord. that TTRPG group of yours? can be on Signal. the software support platform? can and should be a forum. yeah it's an issue that FOSS is not yet up to everything Discord does. but too many things rely on Discord when they shouldn't.
