This is extremely good to know. (But it also means I need to drop by the hardware store & get an extension cord to deploy near my bike's parking space )
Ideal case for me: Get home, park bike, plug in charging & forget about it. Unplug to ride. Given that I typically ride once a week these days (WFH FTW!), is that overdoing it? Should I add a step to make sure it gets UNplugged later that day?)
IIRC you said it holds a charge for quite a while unused?

@cavyherd@wandering.shop Yes, you should unplug it when it's done charging. The charger and the BMS (battery management system; a chip in the battery case that balances the cells) should keep it from over charging, but better safe than sorry. The LED controller has a tiny standby draw so will drain the battery if left plugged in but unused for a while, but we're talking weeks, maybe months.
