I designed those error messages to be good for *humans*. @ekuber@hachyderm.io and crew worked hard to make the diagnostics as good as they are today.
Ngl feeling a bit sick as this sinks in that my suspicions are likely correct.

@soph@grrl.me @ekuber@hachyderm.io that sucks... I love rust for many reasons, one of them is the error messages. But none of them is the abuse of LLMs to generate rust. It makes me sad.

@soph@grrl.me It is exhausting that all of a sudden some people care about documentation and diagnostics not because it is good for humans/workers, but rather to aid their automatons. I hope that the effort put to make it easier for LLMs is done in such a way that it *also* aids humans. But I'm not holding my breath.
