@zl2tod@mastodon.online @_elena@mastodon.social I cannot look at the list of my followers to examine the newly added followers because it doesn't print which of the followers were added since the last time I checked the "Notifications". Is there any other way except hovering over every avatar, waiting 10 seconds of spinning wheel for a lengthy update of following status, and then CTRL-click the avatar of every follower who I don't follow for later examination of their profile or timeline or whatever it's called in Mastodon, whether I want to follow them? Also I would appreciates if likes weren't called Favorites but links, and shares were not called Boosts but shares. I just find it unnecessarily confusing when switching from a proprietary social network.

@clock@net.miaumuh.ch For me anyway I think the follower list has the most recent first at the top. Other instances or server software may be different. I usually open the user in a new tab, read their bio and scan their feed, decide whether to follow them, and close the tab. The feed gets a bit overwhelming at around 200-300 follows. @_elena@mastodon.social

@clock@net.miaumuh.ch there's also the part connections in your Mastodon settings, there you can filter them. Also, Mastodon sure does support tabs (I've also always a lot of tabs open), but every tab does create (and maintain!) a new connection. So if you're on a small Mastodon server and your server admin chose a stricter rate limit than mastodon.social does, that can lead to the effect you experienced. @zl2tod@mastodon.online
