@gcvsa@mstdn.plus so my lean, mean is focused on bleeding edge programming languages, firefox/ai-free alternatives, my fancied up vim/neo-vim and a minimal xfce or old-school window managers configured to death 😂 (GUI is my playground). I moved to "web" fully since 1995 so only minimal local apps like a libreoffice.
I welcome the recent fashion of "fancy CLI tools" as I still watch movies with "mplayer -f themoviefile" :)
I try A LOT but I need very little.

@sushee@ohai.social I don't really use "word processing" very much, as I'm more likely to use a professional graphic design page layout program (Scribus works OK, if I don't actually need Adobe InDesign), but LibreOffice Draw is really useful for lightweight CAD drafting, and I probably use that and Calc 150x more often than I eve open Writer. GNU Image is usually enough for my minimal retouching needs, but I'm still more comfortable in Photoshop.
