@stephaniepixie@fandom.garden it's like that, but they muted the TV, so no crowd noise, whistles, etc, and they keep talking about stories from their past.
I really thought it was going to replace the commentators track, so you get a true alternative.

@anakin78z@mograph.social I doubt either one wants to do play-by-play. That format is probably for people who aren’t as into the sport but more about stories and personalities. Kinda like people only paying attention when it’s a US national team match because without the nationalism it’s somehow not as meaningful to them.
