I can see it as a barrier to entry - you need skills, time and money.
If the instances turn into the fed equivalent of SMTP servers it would be a bad thing.
but otherwise, the way you have set yourself up would be a good way for folks to learn and play about tech, fed and more

@jonoabroad@mastodon.nz He doesn't like people learning and playing with the tech. He compared it to someone teaching themselves electricity, and then trying to re-wire the electricity in their house. I told him, "That's a terrible analogy because doing that can kill you." And he literally said to me, "It's not that dangerous but close!"
