@Amgine@mamot.fr @oldladyplays@wargamers.social Now old, NB, and bi, but I've been this invisible since I was a teenager. I literally started wearing an anklet with bells on to announce my presence like a cat. Didn't work. But it was occasionally hilarious, as it made sneaking up on people comically easy. (Ironically, it wasn't clothes or piercings or tattoos that finally made me visible - wearing a mask has been the one thing that makes people notice me)

@Cetraria@neurodifferent.me @oldladyplays@wargamers.social Congratulations! Unfortunately, people *expect* old people to wear a mask (which I do.) At least, it has not made me more noticed. It does seem to convince people I am also hard of hearing. Or, because *my* voice is somewhat muffled, they feel compelled to raise *their* voice.
