@Chancerubbage@mastodon.social FWIW, I'm very new to the home media server thing, but having great success with Jellyfin after struggling with Plex. I'm running a Linux mint box though, not Mac.

@dandrumheller@mstdn.social I don’t have set habits or expectations ( I was a big fan of TiVo in the ntsc days) I don’t have cable or internet, this would purely be for making my DVDs more accessible. I don’t even have a tv at the moment, I let all that lapse over 15 years ago.
