I don’t have set habits or expectations ( I was a big fan of TiVo in the ntsc days)
I don’t have cable or internet, this would purely be for making my DVDs more accessible. I don’t even have a tv at the moment, I let all that lapse over 15 years ago.

@Chancerubbage@mastodon.social my original intent was to aggregate all my digitized movies into a single machine. Figured some management might be nice. Tried and mostly failed to get Plex running. Had never heard about JellyFin before, but configuration was not too difficult. Now I'm set up with multiple users and my family can watch different things in separate rooms. Can even stream remotely via TailScale (in theory anyway, haven't tried other than a couple tests).
