I kinda wish you’d do a photo essay with photos of the applications about what you like about old plex why the new plex is broken, but why an alternative like jellyfin just will not do.
Because I’m getting your emotional frustration without the details of what and why, and I feel I badly need to create a media server of my own and am being told nothing works (I have no interest in viewing remotely, only via home LAN)

@Chancerubbage@mastodon.social FWIW, I'm very new to the home media server thing, but having great success with Jellyfin after struggling with Plex. I'm running a Linux mint box though, not Mac.
