Everyone should really just behave as though everything they post on Mastodon is public. I don’t particularly view this as a problem, basically don’t say anything on here that you wouldn’t say in a busy restaurant; it’s unlikely that someone will hear something you say to your tablemate(s), but it’s mostly decorum providing you with any sort of privacy.
Unfortunately, it seems that many people don’t understand that what you do in public is, well, public, even IRL.

@josh0@babka.social @zvava@bbs.619.hu @jaz@toot.wales Given that I've seen people *on the bus* entering their passwords or other sensitive details like DoB/national IDs on e.g. banking apps, I have low expectations for normal people.
