Completely rebuilt my first attempt at creating leaves in Material Maker. Finished a first pass at the albedo, hopefully the normal and roughness pass will make it pop and look realistic. Wish I was further along, but at least I feel like I have been more productive today than I ever was in Substance Designer.

I do have photo scanned references, but it is also fun to just go outside and grab a leave and photograph it at different angles to study the structure and roughness as well as being able to feel the texture between your fingers.

First pass at normals with low frequency (general undulation), mid frequency (lamina islands) and high frequency (lamina grain) details, with glossiness cranked to max to make it easier see the result. Next, mask off layers and make things sharper.
