  Completely rebuilt my first attempt at creating leaves in Material Maker. Finished a first pass at the albedo, hopefully the normal and roughness pass will make it pop and look realistic. Wish I was further along, but at least I feel like I have been more productive today than I ever was in Substance Designer.

  I tried negative painting technique. But I couldn't come up with enough mean things about a pond of waterlilies.

  I tried to watch that Hank Green video about what NASA didn't know, but there were so much waffling going on that I only got six minutes in without finding out what they didn't know, the editorial promise of the video, before giving up. I am all for the style where you immediately fulfill it, especially if it is a question, because the straight answer is most of the time not the interesting bit anyway, but *why* that is the answer.

  Trying to find a reseller of Gator Board or similar in Europe. It seems like a very US specific product despite it just being foamcore but with wood veneer instead of paper. Also a lot of reseller seems to think that it's just another name for regular foamcore, making searching for the real thing annoying despite having a very specific brand name. Argh... #art #supply
