@erd@gei.st And this is exactly why sofware engineers and engineers who build physical things are two fundamentally different professions. The built world as we know it doesn't exist without excel. No engineering company or division I've ever worked in or known would run for a day without excel.

Bisher habe ich auf die Frage: Welches Stück Software hat den meisten Wert geschaffen, sehr geschwankt zwischen: - Excel (weil es Menschen befähigt datengestützte Entscheidungen zu treffen und Zugang zu Compute demokratisiert) - Delivermail (weil eMail) - Powerpoint (weil es 1 zu x Kommunikation deutlich erleichtert) und jetzt stehe ich da Frage mich ob es einen gibt und wenn ja wo der Unterschied ist zwischen: 1/2

@erd@gei.st Powerpoint ist aber auch nicht ohne. So ist es doch für die, die sogar mit Excel Tabellen überfordert sind.

@erd@gei.st This is true, I’d also like to point out that the tendency predates Excel; there’s quite some writing and research from economists from the 1950s, 60s and 70s that shareholder value and stock market reporting requirements in combination with fast trading is “the dumbest idea ever” as to the long-term ability of organizations to produce quality and wealth.
