@erd@gei.st This is true, I’d also like to point out that the tendency predates Excel; there’s quite some writing and research from economists from the 1950s, 60s and 70s that shareholder value and stock market reporting requirements in combination with fast trading is “the dumbest idea ever” as to the long-term ability of organizations to produce quality and wealth.
