    @aleksorsist@mastodon.social I should check.... The last thing I shipped were qty 6x Alif MCUs (eng samples - roughly $20 ea) and 12x Coilcraft 1220 inductors. I was really surprised they couldn't get Coilcraft. I just logged in to fedex and looked, there where 3 invoices for the shipment. Electronic Export Information Charges $13.00 Transportation charges $210.68 Base discount -$147.48 Special handling charges $15.01 Total express charges $78.21 Total Invoice Amount $39.47 (Invoice Type Duty/Tax)

    @aleksorsist@mastodon.social I used the Fedex commercial invoice generation tool and I'm sharing a [redacted] copy below. some ICs are going to be export controlled, like these MCUs with AES accelerators, but there is a mass market exception you can use that gives you different HTS codes you can use depending on the use case.
