@Setok@attractive.space the problem is twofold. Servers plus scale (= bad).
Bad UX, if that's really what it is, has 'helped' by slowing scale. With scale Mastodon will be terrible.
If you want scale, don't expect a good endgame using federated servers.
For now the fedi is best for those few of us who get why it is better, but it isn't better for most because they require simplicity in order to participate.
The solution isn't better UX, it is better UX without servers (= centralisation)
= Good #UX + #p2p

@happyborg@fosstodon.org why do you believe Mastodon can't scale? I'd also argue there's a bit of elitism in assuming others just can't get it. Many probably do, but also like for things to be easy. Hell, I do. I hate complex things. No time for that.
