  One of the nice features of #Jolla's #Sailfish is how they've done context menus. Hold on an item and a menu appears, but you don't need to lift your finger to aim at the menu. Just hold and slide up and down to select the item from the menu. See example below. #UX

  WTF, this is absolutely shameful corruption. The US’s star player gets a match ban (red card), and Trump gives #FIFA a call and as if by magic the ban is ‘suspended’. Unlike for the numerous other red cards in this #WorldCup. What utter nonsense! The US has now become the team I least support.   Test drove the #PV5 today and #Kia really has nailed it with this 5-seater van bodied #EV. The outer dimensions are almost identical to a Tesla M3, but there is vast amounts of space inside. Everyone can sit comfortably, loads of room for animals, hauling firewood, whatever. The interior is suitably utilitarian, which I like, and visibility is superb (apart from A pillars). I also dig the cyber exterior styling. It’s not fast, but what a package. And for that price too. Like driving the future.

  Great idea by #Ferrari to create the sound of an #EV car by using the vibrations of an actual accelerometer linked to the drive. Thus creating more authentic noise to give aural drive feedback. I’d go further still and hook a straight live wire to an amp, electric guitar style. A really raw vibration. The CEO just gave an interview to Kauppalehti describing the company restructuring that occurred a couple years back, and unequivocally states there is no Russian ownership anymore.   Some people might not know this, but several decades ago the BBC destroyed a vast pile of their archive tapes (to vacate storage space). Back then reruns were rare, streaming was decades away and even VHS wasn’t around. Many, many gems were lost, probably forever. Including many classic episodes of #DoctorWho.
