@mikemccaffrey@pdx.social My girlfriend in college had an apartment with a fireplace that had been converted to a vent for some kind of heater, then eventually disconnected, so it had this metal panel over it with a ~9” hole two feet off the ground. Their cat Hamlet would often stand on his back feet and peer into the hole, so they started calling it the “tuna hole” since they imagined his longing for it. Years later, the day they moved out, they put a can of tuna on a platform in there for him to find.
