Anyone in #Portland have a length of 4-inch cast iron pipe? We need to extend our main plumbing stack above the new roof that is going to be 6-inches higher.

It is my dream to have a #BMW2002 one day. Rare to see such a cute compact car with such generous headroom. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1976-bmw-2002-293/

I'm sure glad I left the #FireWeed growing in the yard two years ago, even through it is now eight feet tall and has taken over that corner of the yard. It is the first thing I see out the window in the morning and the last thing at night when I get into bed. #FensterFreitag #Bloomscrolling

Adorable electric vehicle alert! I love this new #Telo Truck design. It does not look super-small in absolute terms, seemingly the exact size and shape as a minivan, but much much smaller than every regular pickup being sold in the US right now, and it can actually be used in urban areas. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1OgN_qctcGs #EVs

Time for the annual washing of my #ToyotaTacoma now that the #Maple trees are nearly done with dropping pollen and flower remnants on everything below them. #TextureTuesday #Portland

Would have been nice for a school not to remain named after a racist until 2026, but at least it was finally changed. https://www.wweek.com/news/schools/2026/05/12/jason-lee-elementary-renamed-sunrise/

Lol, apparently #corvids are geniuses for showing up again and again to a spot where they found some food. https://www.zmescience.com/ecology/animals-ecology/scientists-thought-ravens-followed-wolves-for-food-they-were-wrong-ravens-predict-them/

We brought visiting family to the #FosterFoodCarts yesterday, which turned out to be a mistake since almost all the carts are closed on Tuesday, so I went across the street to #IshtarGate. It kinda looked like a sketchy hole in the wall between some dumpsters and a tire shop, with just a computer on the sidewalk to order from instead of a person. It took them quite some time to make the food, but it ended up being the best falafel I've had in #Portland.

A bit of a #ThickTrunkThursday postscript, but now that the weather is nice in #Portland, we are finally able to use the beautiful table that #BurlAndGrain in #HillsboroOR made from our beloved #HoneyLocust that fell over in the ice storm two years ago!

Anyone else in #Portland having weird mobile Internet coverage? We are on #GoogleFi (because traditionally it has had the best coverage from multiple carriers) and it has only been connecting to LTE instead of 5G for the past day.

Edging my lawn and wondering how much of suburban development is fueled by the deep-seeded psychological need for humans to defend a plot of land from the encroachment of nature.

Jealous of all the people in #Oakland who can just go and buy jars of this absolutely delicious garlic sauce without having to wait for it to be shipped to them. (Their restaurant is two blocks from the 19th st Bart.) https://www.theshawarmaji.com/ #TheShawarmaji

Was actually in the ocean today for #MeerMittwoch, doing some #snorkeling at #HanaumaBay. The fish were giant and colorful, but I don't recommend going yourself. Despite being a nature preserve with limited access, they seem to let thousands of people in every day and the reef mostly seems stripped bare.
