@tonyarnold@mastodon.social I don't want to sound cynical but I don't think there is much correlation between people I respect and people who are ultimately proven right about the future.
To me this is mostly an exercise in triangulating where AI is in this moment, where people are in relation, and what that implies for where this technology is going. It's not just finding people who make good predictions โ it's never been more important to listen to people who have good principles *and* adaptive mindsets.

@mergesort@macaw.social I think I initially got my nose out of joint because of the way folks were selling the benefits as entangled with a future where everybody needs to work exactly the way they do. My belief is that there's a future in here that's meaningful and profitable for people who value creative endeavours, it just looks a little different. Everything is changing, but everything has always changed ๐
