Well that was a great keynote/SoTU. Not a single mention of sports, TV shows or other peripheral services — they got straight down to talking about the operating systems, and kept it there the whole time. I’m still working through the changes, but the changes look thoughtful and helpful! 🎉

macOS 27 developer beta 1 is really crisp. And smooth. I’m keen to see what the new Siri is like (I’m still on the wait list), but between Xcode 27 beta 1 and the OS, I could spend my time here.

I thought I would try the AI support tools that @reveal&#39;s support package uses for our site, thinking it&#39;ll help to suggest articles from our knowledge base. Nope, it just flat out hallucinated an incorrect answer to a very direct question. That&#39;s getting turned off.

I was unaware that Aussie train stations still have a quaint little waiting room. It’s not air conditioned, the seats are metal, and it is definitely not comfortable, but it’s a total vibe.

I have spent my career leaning on Apple's excellent design chops when building my own apps. Now they've broken the design language of their operating systems so badly that it's not possible to build excellent, bug free user experiences. I've lost a north star here, and it's heartbreaking because there's no real way for them to turn this around for a very long time.
