Codex on mobile running through your computer has got to be a nice improvement for OpenAI’s compute. Previously any task you spun up on mobile required creating a new container to make any little change. Now it’s simply using the same GPUs and energy you would if you were at your machine.

Yesterday Codex solved a problem with a technique I wouldn’t have ever considered, and I was a little mind blown. It wasn’t something huge like one-shorting an app, but I was so impressed that I had to write a blog post about the experience — coming to build.ms on Monday. 😄

Years ago I read Good Services, which impressed upon me how important it is for software that powers the government services to work. Relatedly, you can’t fill out any forms with dates on mobile on the NYS DMV website because they expect dates to be MM/DD/YYYY formatted but show a date picker.
