@kevinbowen@hachyderm.io I'm not sure what you are complaining about in the particular context of this thread. I'm simply a volunteer app developer voicing an enhancement idea for those GUI toolkits' "About" app dialogs to allow app developers to not be subjected to undue support burdens beyond what they are ready to endure.
This is not about what the GUI toolkit thinks/"dictates", it's all about what the app developers might need on a case-by-case basis.

@nekohayo@mastodon.social I dunno. I think that Clem Lefebvre articulates his point very clearly in support of his #LinuxMint project. And the upstream devs are, well, kinda douchebags. Seems terribly disrespectful in my opinion.
