@jay@social.zerojay.com too late, I already turned the system off. It probably was either a process having a memleak and crashing (most likely caused by the mongo db fuckup I had about half a day earlier) or extensive disk caching.
However it would just be great if there was something like filelight that would just visually tell you with a pie chart or something...

@agowa338@chaos.social Likely disk caching, but all memory that's used as a cache is considered free by the kernel as it can be used at any time.
