@caseyliss@mastodon.social @rustyshelf@mastodon.social correct! Immich certainly has some rough edges but overall it's been a non-event so far since I switched.
There is one absolutely hugely important caveat. You MUST take your backups seriously because if something goes pop, it's your fault.

@ironicbadger@techhub.social @caseyliss@mastodon.social for sure, appreciate the insight. I'm not stranger to running servers and managing backups. I guess I was more interested in things people have found that have used it for a while that aren't deal breakers but might be annoying or unexpected?
