I also made an iOS remote app and it passed the Spouse Test™* with flying colours. My setup is basically: - Pi5 running LibreELEC and an external USB drive for TV recording. - iOS remote app that calls the TVHeadEnd and Kodi back end APIs to show recordings, playback controls, etc * you might be thinking this means &quot;non technical&quot;...

Considering making 2026 the year I move away from giving a giant tech company all my photos. Has anyone used a self-hosted solution like Immich in anger? I guess what I&#39;m wondering (ignoring the headaches of self-hosting and keeping things up to date), is it actually any good? I&#39;ve seen all the &quot;I installed this and it&#39;s just as good&quot; videos but not sure I trust them. Anyone used it for a while and have real world experience? Would love to hear about it...
