I don't think Paris's bike lanes would qualify, although they _are_ nice. I would say the LHC would, but I agree it's subjective.

“Cool” is the opiate of the classes! Overengineering is also bad engineering! And, to get back to judging cultural cohesion, regulatory and cooperative infrastructure might be a _better_ measure than Big Projects.
