@forty2@oldbytes.space oh good! I always started TV work with a discharge via screwdriver under the anode cap, clip-corded to gnd.
I'm guessing a capacitor in the HV too, but it looks like a new-enough model for it to be an IC prob too.
Maybe you'll get lucky and find the big relief of a burn mark or popped cap. 😊

@ottaross@mastodon.social the other thing scaring me away is just the sheer weight. Getting it into the basement and then up onto the bench will be less than fun.
