@mdhughes@appdot.net @titania@retro.pizza I’m glad there are so many folks who enjoy this and want to share that with others. I have a friend who self-hosts a lot of his stuff and lets us all piggyback on his efforts, and I’m so grateful because it’s like a foreign language to me. It just doesn’t click. And I help him with the things I’m good at and enjoy doing that just don’t click for him. “Just do this thing that’s hard for you, it’s so easy” helps no one.

@quietewe@urbanists.social @titania@retro.pizza This is precisely my point, though. You know nothing, that's fine, we all start at 0! Every single day I have to learn new things. But you have been terrified into not learning, into being completely incapable, by horrible analogies like "you will die if you make your own drugs", or "it'll consume the rest of your life". You won't die. It's not that hard; you won't have an *easy* time of it, but I assure you if you can read & write coherently, you're smart enough.
