@tomas@iosdev.space Are you telling me that developers should automatically outsource their design to Apple? That puts a lot of faith in Apple not just having good sense and taste, but having a deep understanding every third party app and how those decisions will cascade to every app on the platform. If you really believe that, I think I might opt out of this conversation.

@louie@pdx.social If your app doesn’t have any custom UI and is built only with native UI elements, then yes, it’s a reasonable and natural approach. I don’t generalize; I’m specifically talking about NetNewsWire. On the other hand, I dislike the custom UI of almost all Electron apps…
