@Byronrabbit@mastodon.thirring.org there was an Oriole here a few days ago. They come for the apple blossoms, but that's running late this year, so I saw it visit the bird feeder for sunflower seeds. Haven't seen that before.

@johnefrancis@cosocial.ca Interesting. I know they feed on insects for protein, so maybe seeds fill that gap? It's cold here (single digits C), nothing blooming yet, no flying insects. Will watch for oriole activity at the seed feeder.
