@chartier@toot.cafe It's interesting that, during the cold war, propaganda both the USA and USSR told a lot of lies about what was communism to try to influence opinion. The USSR claimed bad things that were not communism were, to justify doing them. The USA claimed good things that were not communism were, to justify not doing them.

@chartier@toot.cafe Also, I'm scratching my head trying to figure out his moniker, "sigsauer1814". 1. Not an American company, a merger of German and Swiss firms. 2. Not founded in 1814. Sauer & Sohn founded in 1751 in Germany, SIG founded in 1853 in Switzerland. 3. 1814 does not seem to have any particular significance either to the SIG Sauer company or the United States of America.
