Back in 2021, I wondered if the games we would see coming out between 2021-23 would be different than the games we saw come out from 2015-2020 because of the gestation period during Covid and how testing cycles work. Now I wonder if the design ideas that came about in 2020 (so, probably a printing date of 2024 onward) will categorically look distinct. In short, what did that time period actually shift in terms of tabletop design, or was it more of a design evolution in methods (e.g. testing online via TTS) that shifted but the design ethos didn't. Does anyone have any examples or thoughts to say whether that cohort group displays different tendencies than other games?
