    The US Memorial Day holiday was spent with five of us doing two games of Flamme Rouge (my spouse and I have been doing our annual watch of La Vuelta Feminina this weekend), and then two iterations of a new to us game; Kardinal &amp;amp; Konig (or in the US; Web of Power). Flamme Rouge is a game we have played a lot of, almost always at higher player counts. We have watched a lot of cycling and I think it does rather well at modeling the event with one quibble.     I really appreciate folks at #UKGamesExpo this weekend posting their #boardgames photos and convention reports. Looking forward to seeing more. I wouldn&amp;#39;t say it&amp;#39;s FOMO, but I do like seeing what novel stuff is going on at conventions where you achieve critical mass and this is sort of the first one of the summer season. #UKGE2026

    I mean, the weather is nice, if we have to playtest, might as well do it on the deck and not the crowded bar. Just gotta weigh down stuff a touch. (It is sort of hot, welcome to the [US] South...)

    Back in 2021, I wondered if the games we would see coming out between 2021-23 would be different than the games we saw come out from 2015-2020 because of the gestation period during Covid and how testing cycles work. Now I wonder if the design ideas that came about in 2020 (so, probably a printing date of 2024 onward) will categorically look distinct.
