@antongorlin@mastodon.art Do you have any tundra landscapes down under? The fall calls are just insane there. The photo doesn't even really capture it properly.

@geoff_eg@mastodon.social @antongorlin@mastodon.art Nearest we Aussies get are alpine tundra-like areas in south-west Tasmania*, and patches at high elevations in Kosciuszko National Park (southern NSW). * Not the World Heritage-listed SW Tassie, it’s too low. More the mountain and high plateau terrain inland from the West Coast. Unfortunately that fragile area has been ravaged by two extensive wildfire events in the past 10-15 years.
