Gold Plated It is #SeaWednesday, so here is a #seascape. I know, I know. I upload seascapes on most days anyway. But today at least it is legit. For this one, I went to explore an unknown beach. The beauty of it was that it required a 45 min hike before the sunrise in the total darkness through the forest. Which meant no people around. Fluidity of Stone I assume it is an ancient petrified lava flow. Maybe partially lava flow, partially normal rocks, which were in the way. Maybe something totally different. Dragon's Pearl A full Moon moonrise over the sandstone formations. A shot like this requires prep - clear sky, full Moon phase, and it should have the right angle (azimuth) during the moonrise. I had to hide between passing showers and shoot in the brief gaps between the rain, fortunately catching a moment of light. I really enjoyed exploring this coastline scattered with volcanic rock formations.
