@sotolf@polymaths.social @anildash@me.dm Pretending it can somehow be both the best for AI users and the best for anti-AI users is an incredibly ridiculous bit of logic when they've refused to adopt the method one side of that equation has requested, ie: making it opt in via extensions or other addons.
They already failed.

@reflex@retrogaming.social @sotolf@polymaths.social @anildash@me.dm A genuine question…if the only AI they offered was a local/open model, only available via the browser, and only for specific tasks, what percentage of your concern would that address? (Personally, I view local, open, private, task-specific AI as the best way to fight the oligarchs.)
