I don't know that the NYT does support English. Lots of USian-grown software doesn't support English naming conventions, for example, and one can't help wondering if a touch of Boston Tea Party is added to a belief that if there is any world outside USA it's only as real as Hollywood.
(Not All USians, obviously)

@sunflowerinrain@mastodon.online I definitely agree with the sentiments here. Yet I’d bet that the Times would comfortably handle most anything England could throw at it, based on my own experience with both my stupid country and our stupid paper of record
