@lkanies@hachyderm.io Seems a strange "style" choice. Don't most, or at least many, languages use (and need) diacriticals? Even English[0] has a few, though admittedly leaving them off just looks like you can't spell rather than changing the meaning.
[0] The language spoken in England, to clarify.

@sunflowerinrain@mastodon.online I am confident that the Times has a reason (other than colonialism) for supporting the diacritics necessary for English English (ahem), yet not for those necessary for Vietnamese. But of course, that reason is bullshit.
