One note, the new underpass at Churchill was starting to flood yesterday afternoon. I *hate* that new active transportation infrastructure seems built to flood. I imagine the Cleary underpass, whenever it opens, will also have that issue.

Another update from my run: -Mud lake loop is 99.9% snow and ice free and only minimally muddy. I imagine other similarly wooded areas are in like conditions. -Not many turkeys, they seem to have moved to other parts of town. #OttBike #OttRun

@dairpo@ottawa.place I wonder if the cost to raise the area to avoid flooding was so much that it wasn't "affordable".

@dairpo@ottawa.place But, Pete, we saved 25 cents building it so that it floods and is useless for many weeks of the year. Also, see the Rideau path at bank street underpass at Riverside. It floods while designs to prevent that have existed for decades (see the Dutch).
