@jd@ottawa.place @EdwinG@mstdn.moimeme.ca One problem with Ottawa (and similar structure for REM in montréal) is the contct isolating the city from RTG from another middle company and then the actual companies doing work such as Alstom for maintenance. 30 year contract can't be changed.
If Ottawa were in charge/control, they could admit mistake and order proper LRTs that don't need to go 100kmh and handle X passengers that don't fit in a tram. But with contract, you can't change these core requirements, dooming system.

@jd@ottawa.place @EdwinG@mstdn.moimeme.ca If Ottawa were in control, t would get the money to rebuild the tracks with more gentle curve between Hurdman and the bdrige over river. (start curve right at exit of station).
