@sinabhfuil@mastodon.ie @clickhere@mastodon.ie we were sort of doing a “can we do without a car?” experiment and it turns out it’s not really practical week to week, never mind for the series of funerals down country we’ll have in next decade. Most of our routine travel is done by commuter train, tram and Dart but the exceptions just take too damn long.

@Colman@mastodon.ie @clickhere@mastodon.ie I've lived without a car for several years now; long since let my licence lapse. The only day-to-tay problem is bringing the dog to his favourite park, since the government went all ladylike some years back and stopped letting dogs on buses. Formerly dogs of a respectable mien were always allowed on buses and trams, but had to ride upstairs. By the way, how long would your spare part journey have taken by bike?
