@Colman@mastodon.ie @clickhere@mastodon.ie I've lived without a car for several years now; long since let my licence lapse. The only day-to-tay problem is bringing the dog to his favourite park, since the government went all ladylike some years back and stopped letting dogs on buses. Formerly dogs of a respectable mien were always allowed on buses and trams, but had to ride upstairs. By the way, how long would your spare part journey have taken by bike?

@Colman@mastodon.ie @clickhere@mastodon.ie (I have to admit I do get a lift to that park when my dog accepts such a lift from his sister's people. Otherwise it's normally a street walk or a walk to other, nearer but riverlerss parks)

@sinabhfuil@mastodon.ie @clickhere@mastodon.ie not a spare part, an electric vehicle test drive. In theory maps says an hour and a bit by bike but not on a route I’d ever have chosen to cycle. Probably an hour and a half each way. We had a family cyclist fatality and there’s a certain lack of enthusiasm for it as a form of transport.
