@argv_minus_one@mastodon.sdf.org @2something@transfem.social One 'fun' story I like to tell that seems to inordinately horrify everyone I tell it to is that my father liked to make my brother or I fetch him a can of soda or somesuch from the fridge at dinnertime rather than getting up for it himself. If either of us ever hesitated, complained, or (God forbid) refused, he'd 'joke,' "Why do you think we had you?" A most amusing jest, surely — except that he seldom, if ever, gave sufficient reassurance that the reason he found it funny was anything other than that it was true.
