@craignicol@glasgow.social @Wraithe@mastodon.social I feel like folks need to start creating systems of mutual aid communities. To provide support for folks and their families on strike.
I saw a toot the other day pointing out there's no social safety net in the US and now the net in the UK has holes in it. This is by design.
It took organisation for general strikes in the past and this included support for strikers.
But yeah. The social contract is broken, what else is left?

@onepict@chaos.social @Wraithe@mastodon.social our community still has the embers of COVID community where we had to work together and protect the most vulnerable. But as a village it's easier.. We already have a reasonable mistrust of infrastructure and know we need to fight for it. I don't think everyone's realised that yet.
