@skjeggtroll@mastodon.online @thomasbeagle@mastodon.nz the old-school ones were very much like that. Heinlein, L. Ron Hubbard, Marion Zimmer Bradley, John Lange, Orson Scott Card, Ted Beale, many others. No not every sci-fi author sucks but a LOT do.
