I seem to remember that Edward Steichen did 400 versions of a white porcelain teacup and saucer just to study the effects of light....

@bosak@flx.masto.host LIghting: yeah: this is in the bathroom with a crummy sweep. The camera barely fit; need a studio. It's a test to show me that sensitometry is working and (soon) to see if it's printable at a predictable contrast in the wet darkroom. This is a digital work print; lots more to do with dodging in the contact print, and then I'll revisit the digital version to match. So far, one sheet of film; # of test prints TBD. 400 test images would take about 10 years, at the rate I'm working...
